“If many small people in many small places do many small things,
they can change the face of the world.”
— Our Guiding Principle
A Message from Our Founder

Why Aneho. Why Now.

There is a moment, and if you’ve experienced it, you know exactly what I mean: when you see a child with limitless potential and realize the only thing standing between that child and their future is circumstance. That moment happened for me in Aneho, Togo, a coastal city in West Africa where too many children wake up each day without the basic assurances that most of us take for granted: food, safety, education, and hope.

KinderCare in Aneho was born from that moment. In partnership with Yvette Fatsawo and Les Amis des Enfants d’Aneho, an organization that has been on the ground in Togo since 2009, we launched this 501(c)(3) nonprofit to extend, formalize, and amplify the work already being done for over 100 children across Togo.

This is our inaugural newsletter. It is the beginning of a conversation we plan to have with you: our supporters, our partners, our community, for many years to come. Thank you for being here at the start.

Who We Are

Our Mission & What We Do

KinderCare in Aneho is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in the United States, operating in partnership with Les Amis des Enfants d’Aneho in Togo, West Africa. Together, we work to ensure that children in Aneho and surrounding communities have access to the essentials every child deserves:

Nutritious food. Hygiene supplies. Medical care. Educational resources. Basic housing. Vocational training. And the nurturing environment every child needs to grow, thrive, and realize their full potential.

Our approach is community-first. We extend and amplify what local partners have already built. We don’t arrive to replace; we arrive to multiply.

Here is where your support goes to work:

Divine Providence Orphanage

Home to 56 youths in urgent need, this orphanage faces daily resource shortages. Infants require formula and children depend on life-saving medications that remain out of reach without your support.

Virgin Mary Queen of Peace Orphanage

Since 2009, this home has sheltered 8 teenage girls through hardship with grace and resilience. Conditions remain difficult, yet their smiles and spirit speak to the hope your generosity keeps alive.

Académie Swallows

Serving hundreds of Togo’s youth, including some who live on site, Académie Swallows builds character through sport. Updated equipment and improved security are urgently needed after their free weights were stolen.

Take Action

Every Small Thing Adds Up

Just $1 a day can help spark the genius that lies within a child in Aneho. Whether you donate, volunteer, share our mission, or simply stay connected: every action matters.

Coming Up

What’s on the Horizon

  • Desks for Daughters: We are launching a campaign to raise $7,000 for the Virgin Mary Queen of Peace Orphanage. Every dollar goes directly toward new desks, chairs, and up-to-date whiteboards, giving these 8 young women the learning environment they deserve. Help us cross the finish line.
  • Second Trip to Togo: KinderCare in Aneho board members are preparing to return to Togo. We are working to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of shipping donated items collected here in the States, clear customs, and compensate local workers in Togo who will help distribute supplies directly to those who need them most. Your gift makes the journey possible.
  • Adoption Pathway Program: We are working to streamline the adoption process for qualified individuals who feel called to help in the most profound way possible. Giving a child a permanent home is the ultimate fighting chance, and we want to make that path as clear and accessible as it can be.
